Lindsey and Brian weren’t really sure what they were looking for in their first home. He liked “new,” she preferred something more seasoned, with character. They’d seen a few with Jennifer when 9136 Paddock Ct hit their radar after a steep price reduction. It was a good compromise for their diverse tastes, on a big lot, with a unique floor plan. It was all brick, custom-built with high ceilings and had great bones. It would benefit from a little cosmetic updating, but the price was right for their budget. The negotiating commenced, as did the wait. It was in a short sale program and had to have bank review and approval of any offer before a closing could be scheduled. Fortunately, Lindsey and Brian had time to take the gamble to secure the house they loved. Jennifer counseled them on the process of a short-sale purchase, set their expectations for a timeline accordingly and then submitted the offer in mid January. By mid-March, they had an acceptance in hand from the bank; a record approval timeframe, for sure! Now, Lindsey and Brian are making their new home theirs, and preparing it for life after their upcoming wedding. And Jennifer was reminded that some things are worth the wait!
