It was in exactly the perfect location and a recent price reduction made it the perfect ending to their search. Of course, the closing was rocky. Banks are not always the easiest to work with. But Jennifer kept it on track, and they closed on time. And just a few weeks later, Jennifer sold their big, ol’ house to a new family, who was eager to make it their home for the next several decades.
Several years ago, Jared & Emily called Jennifer to inquire about a short sale listing she had in Pike Township. That was a big, once-beautiful house with a pool, in a terrible state of disrepair; and while it didn’t work for Jared & Emily, the couple decided Jennifer should work for them, so the search commenced. They were “selective” buyers, who weren’t yet decided on what they wanted…or where they wanted it…so this was a challenge! But, while on the hunt, Jared got a new job, Emily got pregnant, and it became clear that the couple might need to house a parent or two in the near future. ‘Twas kind of a roller-coaster for a house hunt, actually! Would you believe that THE PERFECT HOME for these two materialized in Fishers, sitting atop a slight hill, on a bold corner lot?! It was a fabulous, custom home that had originally been built by adult-children to co-habitate with their elderly parents. The house was essentially a duplex, but you’d never know it from the street. It was built as two, fully-functioning residences in one. It was an amazing find. Beautiful and totally unique. They bought it nearly immediately! Jennifer can rarely say the ride to the closing table is easy anymore, and this one had its own unique challenges, but it closed. And Jared and Emily just sent Jennifer a postcard of their beautiful new baby shortly afterwards. When/if they ever need to move a parent in with them, they are ready!
Lindsey had purchased 9136 Paddock Court with Jennifer a few years back. When she announced her engagement and relocation to Chicago for a new job, Jennifer knew the sale would be bittersweet for Lindsey, as that house held special meaning to her. But exciting new phases of life were afoot and Jennifer was up to the challenge! What a whirlwind that transaction was! They listed it at a very aggressive price and received three offers within a week! Jennifer loves the game of playing multiple offers to secure the best possible terms for her clients. A deal was struck and the inspections scheduled. There were certainly some things in need of attention at that property and with Lindsey in Chicago, Jennifer stepped in to coordinate all the necessary repairs and maintenance…including the removal of a mouse nest that had materialized in the dryer! In the end, Lindsey sold that house for a handsome profit, and Jennifer met a lot of new buyers in needs of custom ranches on a nice-sized lot.
