Scott & Diane had enjoyed their home in Zionsville’s Colony Woods for several decades, but the time had come for them to downsize and upgrade to easier living. They enlisted Jennifer to help them find a newer ranch with a smaller lot and to sell their family home at a good price. She helped them prep Crown Point for the market, sending in contractors to update the paint and to make a few other minor improvements. Then she set upon the search for the perfect home for the pair of empty-nesters. They found just the right fit in Cobblestone Lakes nearby, and rolled Crown Point to the market. It sold in a matter of days at nearly full list price, and the two transactions were clean and easy. Jennifer guided them through the negotiations on both, helped them streamline their move schedule and managed to avoid the ownership of two homes at the same time. The new family who moved into Crown Point is a perfect addition to the neighborhood!

Scott & Diane were ready to downsize from the large family home they’d enjoyed for decades. They were also hoping to upgrade to something newer, with open rooms and higher ceilings. A ranch with a basement, on a small lot, in a good neighborhood, with plentiful neighbors and areas for walking. They wanted fashionable colors, granite surfaces, and hardwoods. They wanted to trade their lumbering family home in for something sleek and classy, with minimal maintenance. Would you believe they found it in a foreclosure? That’s right! A bank repo! The condition was excellent. The bank had actually had the interior freshly painted and carpeted before it was listed for sale. It was just a few years old, so it had all the architectural features they were looking for, including a basement. It was in exactly the perfect location and a recent price reduction made it the perfect ending to their search. Of course, the closing was rocky. Banks are not always the easiest to work with. But Jennifer kept it on track, and they closed on time. And just a few weeks later, Jennifer sold their big, ol’ house to a new family, who was eager to make it their home for the next several decades.
Several years ago, Jared & Emily called Jennifer to inquire about a short sale listing she had in Pike Township. That was a big, once-beautiful house with a pool, in a terrible state of disrepair; and while it didn’t work for Jared & Emily, the couple decided Jennifer should work for them, so the search commenced. They were “selective” buyers, who weren’t yet decided on what they wanted…or where they wanted it…so this was a challenge! They visited homes on the west side on Indy, in Carmel and Zionsville and Westfield. But, while on the hunt, Jared got a new job, Emily got pregnant, and it became clear that the couple might need to house a parent or two in the near future. ‘Twas kind of a roller-coaster for a house hunt, actually! Would you believe that THE PERFECT HOME for these two materialized in Fishers, sitting atop a slight hill, on a bold corner lot?! It was a fabulous, custom home that had originally been built by adult-children to co-habitate with their elderly parents. The house was essentially a duplex, but you’d never know it from the street. It was built as two, fully-functioning residences in one. It was an amazing find. Beautiful and totally unique. They bought it nearly immediately! Jennifer can rarely say the ride to the closing table is easy anymore, and this one had its own unique challenges, but it closed. And Jared and Emily just sent Jennifer a postcard of their beautiful new baby shortly afterwards. When/if they ever need to move a parent in with them, they are ready!
Lindsey had purchased 9136 Paddock Court with Jennifer a few years back. When she announced her engagement and relocation to Chicago for a new job, Jennifer knew the sale would be bittersweet for Lindsey, as that house held special meaning to her. But exciting new phases of life were afoot and Jennifer was up to the challenge! What a whirlwind that transaction was! They listed it at a very aggressive price and received three offers within a week! Jennifer loves the game of playing multiple offers to secure the best possible terms for her clients. A deal was struck and the inspections scheduled. There were certainly some things in need of attention at that property and with Lindsey in Chicago, Jennifer stepped in to coordinate all the necessary repairs and maintenance…including the removal of a mouse nest that had materialized in the dryer! In the end, Lindsey sold that house for a handsome profit, and Jennifer met a lot of new buyers in needs of custom ranches on a nice-sized lot. So if you have something like that to sell, call Jennifer to become your own Story of Sold!
Frank and Barb initially called Jennifer about a property she had for sale in Zionsville. That property wasn’t a good fit for the empty-nesters, but after they got to know each other, the three decided working together on their big move would be fun. So Jennifer began the hunt for their new home, and found it on the northeast side of Zionsville in June. While they worked through the closing process on their purchase, she helped them get their house in east Carmel priced and ready to sell. They launched the listing of 5345 Rippling Brook on a Friday afternoon, and 5 showings were immediately scheduled for Saturday! An offer was received Saturday night, and the house was sold by Sunday afternoon. The entire process, from the purchase to the sale, through the closings of both, was absolutely seamless. Not a detail was forgotten, Frank and Barb got to move smoothly from one house to the other before they turned over the keys, and now they are comfortable settling in to their new home, which is conveniently located very near their adult children grandchildren.
