JUST SOLD – 1356 Pawtucket Drive, Westfield

Tara had bought this new townhouse with Jennifer just a few years earlier. Call it the BM era (“before Matt.”) It served her well in her single days, but after her career evolved and Matt entered her life, the townhome needed to be sold in order for the happy couple to begin their next era together. It was the classic story of swapping “my house” for “our house.” (Matt had the same chore, btw). Before the end of the year, Jennifer strategized with the soon-to-be-newlyweds on when, how, and how much for both of their homes, along with what, where, when and how much for “their house.” In the end, the couple chose to build a fine home in a new Anson community. Right after the new year began, Jennifer listed Pawtucket at a compelling price, but heavy competition left the launch a little flat. It was frustrating to watch new listings in the neighborhood pop up at cutthroat prices. Time was on their side, though, as their new home had six months of construction. Jennifer knew the market would heat up by mid-spring, so she stayed the course. Patience proved wise, and ultimately Tara’s townhome was in a position to capture her equity. Two offers were received in the same weekend, and by the end of April, Tara was saying goodbye to her starter home. Now, the sale of Matt’s house is definitely Chapter 2 of this tale.

JUST SOLD – 775 Sugarbush Drive, Zionsville

SOLD in Zionsville’s beloved Sugarbush neighborhood!

It sure is fun to house hunt when you’re selling in California and buying in Zionsville. Your funds do go a long way, and that makes the prospects exciting! But how to navigate a new market without making a mistake or overspending? “Work with a pro,” Jennifer says, “like Helena did, and then you’ll know you’re buying the right home, at the right price, under the right terms.” Helena had a lot of options when she began her hunt, but the market was moving fast. There was not a lot of time to think about a house before it was snapped up by somebody else. Jennifer guided her toward the neighborhoods she liked, in the school district she wanted, and helped her evaluate the pros and cons of each for size, space and location for her needs. In the end, she selected a renovated, classic home in Sugarbush, in the right school district for her boys and in amazing condition. (Her boys might argue that the zipline in the back yard played into the decision, too!) A fair offer was accepted and the sale closed just a few days after the house in California was sold, and Helena is loving our low cost of living!

SOLD – 730 South US 421, Zionsville

Andy bought his cute little ranch in Zionsville about a year ago. He got a great deal, because he bought it with Jennifer (of course)!  He didn’t do a lot to it– some painting, a new furnace and air conditioner. Other than that, he just lived in it fairly comfortably.  But after some time Andy wanted a bit more flexibility. He was young, with different career prospects in consideration. He might relocate out of state. Perhaps he might go to downtown Indianapolis. He just didn’t want to be burdened with a house in Indiana if the right opportunity came along. So Jennifer listed Andy’s house, and sold it right away (of course)!  They made a great team and held their ground through the inspection process. Ultimately Andy made a pretty little penny in less than a year.

When you are looking for the perfect ending to your own housing saga, trust Jennifer to write it for you.

SOLD – 2200 Trowbridge High Street, Carmel

2200 Trowbridge High St

Barb and Rex had bought 2200 Trowbridge High a couple of years ago when they were relocating from Ohio. They were in a hurry, and couldn’t find anything else they liked. They had been transferred into Carmel and they just had to buy something, anything. So they bought Trowbridge in the Village of West Clay. It suited its purpose for a couple of years, but as time passed, they decided they wanted some yard, and they really wanted a pool for their grandkids. They grew weary of the close quarters in West Clay. The hunt for a new home, a fine home they could make their dream home, was on. But selling Trowbridge proved problematic. The first broker they hired did not get the job done. When they were referred to Jennifer, they knew things would be different. Jennifer took over the listing right before Thanksgiving. The property was sold in a matter of weeks. After a ton of showings, they received a good, strong offer and the hunt for Barb and Rex’s dream home was on. That will be the second chapter to their story. When another broker couldn’t get it done – Jennifer did.
